Default easier access for call forwarding?

Please Login to Remove!

hello all,

I was just wondering if there was a way to have a call forwarding icon on the home screen or a quicker way to access call forwarding the same way we can turn on our blue tooth or wifi. i am always in and out of the office and it would be easier for me to click 1 icon to turn C/F on/on rather than going into options.

thanks

Wirelessly posted (Tour)

You could set up a speed dial.

From the home screen, press and hold the key you want to assign a speed dial entry to. For example, you could press and hold the "F" key (for Forwarding). After about a second, you will see a popup that asks if you want to assign a speed dial to the key. Select yes.

At this point, you can either select a contact to assign to the speed dial, or [Use Once] to enter a string of numbers.

Another way to get to the speed dial list: From the home screen, press the call button, press the menu button, and select View Speed Dial List. Once in the speed dial list, you can use the menu button to edit or add a new entry.

Default Call fwding shortcut (8520)

All,

I set up speeddial key "F" and used this string for call fwding :*004*[my home tel no.]#

I saved it; but when I press & hold "F" it returns with "Registration of All Conditional Call Fwding returned success".

However, the the phone is not fwded as there is no 'phone fwded' icon on home screen.

Anybody had any luck setting up a 'Call Fwding On/ Call Fwding Off' shortcut on their Tmobile BB 8520??

thx
Jeff

***EDIT... I GOT IT!!

Using this site:

{sorry, I can't post a link yet}

I used this command string to initiate unconditional fwding:

**21*number# and mapped it to the "F" speed dial key

Then I used:

##002# [it's an "off" command, no phone nos. needed] and mapped that to the "G" speed dial key.

Bingo! Call fwding/unfwding is almost instant now... sweet! Hope this helps.

cheers
Jeff
