Default Memory Cleaning

Please Login to Remove!

Hi,

I am a Sprint 8330 user and had a question regarding something I found under the Options menu - "Memory Cleaning"

Currently this is set to be "Disabled"

Should I enable this? If I do, does this kick off some regular process where logs are removed, etc.

Any input would be appreciated.

Thanks

No it is for security purposes, and will ONLY remain active if you enable content protection.

It wipes any certificate/key store information after a certain amount of time..

Incase someone physically took your BlackBerry and took it apart to access the physical memory in your BlackBerry and get your information.

Wirelessly posted

It helps to as it says clean out key store, content cache, key tokens, etc, all in an attempt to free up system memory so that your BlackBerry runs a bit faster. You can go ahead and enable it if you like. It will only do good, no harm.

Memory Cleaner will clear the active RAM on your BlackBerry not the File Free, any improvement will barely be noticeable.. And after a battery pull the memory cleaner will disable itself is Content Protection is not enabled.

But you are free to enable it as you want.

Just for reference - the new version QuickLaunch by NikkiSoft has the Memory Cleaner option in its menu now. Very handy.

And QuickLaunch is a very handy program too, and quite reasonably priced.
