Default BB Maps installation troubles

Please Login to Remove!

Hello, new to the forums, I was hoping you guys could help me out.

I'm using a white T-Mobile 9700, and I have plenty of experience around blackberries. Anyway, this device came with BB Maps preinstalled, and I figured I wouldn't use it, so I uninstalled it. Surprise surprise, I need it back. So I went to the official site and tried downloading OTA and from PC, it would only install lbs_ribbon, which if I googled correctly it's for ATT users to allow them to use BB Maps.

I tried the desktop manager, because I was told it would be in there in the applications list, it's not in desktop manager anywhere. I can't find a mirror for it on the internet either.

I have the BIS data plan so I've got full internet and everything, I'm using non-T-Mobile OS version 5.0.0.743. I removed BB Maps BEFORE updating to this version. I updated from official T-Mobile release .714, which was released about a week ago.

Any help would be great, thanks.

if you have the OS on your pc with the bb maps in it just rerun the os with desktop manager it will add the bb maps back on to phone.if you removed bb maps from the os download before installing the only option i see is to dwnload another os with bb maps in it and install on your phone .i don't know anywhere to get just the cod files for bb maps.

As nuangel1 already said, just upload the OS which came with the device, or, get a newer version and upload this.

Google maps it not superior in every aspect:
it uses much more data/bandwidth then BB maps
the privacy policy of google is questionable
BB maps is (now) also able to get a Fix with cell tower location
