This question applies equally to the facebook app or the facebook mobile site: Can you hide friends (who you don't want to see status updates from) from your feed, like you can on the regular FB website?

I have several " facebook friends" (old high school friends or some such thing) that I'm not that close with. They are ridiculously prolific status updaters, clogging up my feed with useless noise that makes it hard to see what my "real friends" are posting on FB. I don't want or need to know what flavor bagel you had for breakfast this morning, for Christ's Sake! I've hidden them on the full FB website, and am hoping I can do the same either on the mobile site or the FB app.

there is no way other than to change them to a limited user. this can all be done from a pc on facebook
