As Bryan stated, 3G does not cause interference with your speakers. I am not sure the exact tech behind it, but I remember this when years ago I switched to a Treo 750v.
I've been using my Bold to play music through my stereo at work, the Bold sits on top of the speakers and never causes interference! My W950 does though and that is also 3G!
All I can say is I like it. I have had to place my Blackberry well out of reach to keep from "buzzing" my Bose speakers, now my Bold can sit in front of me at my computer.

A friend of mine has a mini prox card that he used to put in the back of his phone and he'd swipe the phone and the doors would unlock (saves you forgetting your prox card). If you put one in the back of a bold between the battery and the back cover, it will not work. I have no idea why because this normally works in other Blackberries/phones. Does anyone know if it's special plastic or something? I wonder if that is why there is no interference?
