Default Issues with new bes after exchange migration.

Please Login to Remove!

Hi,

We recently migrated from an old hardware exchange 2010 (EXOLD) to a new hardware fresh installed exchange 2010 (NEWEX). Everything is fine except our BES has stopped working. I built another BES in anticipation to use the transporter to move the users over, but near the end of the besx install on the MAPI settings part it asks for the BESAdmin service account and Exchange Server.

When i put in the NEWEX hostname and besadmin details, and click Check Name after a few seconds it changes back to OLDEX as the server name.

This OLDEX server has been decommisioned, how do I resolve this!?

I believe this has happened because I didn't stop the BES services on OLDEX before moving the mailbox!

Please help

Thanks,

delete the besadmin mailbox, then add a new mailbox.
send an email from and to the mailbox.

retry to setup the BES mapi profile.
