From what my RIM Rep told me last week the cost is $199 or $149 with a sponsor discount. He also thought registration would open up sometime this week.

FYI, just had a meeting with RIM rep, says to expect BES 4.0 GW Nov 1 probably.... Yeah yeah, heard it all before, but he seemed pretty confident on it...

also, the open beta for 4.0 BES is in 2 wks...

I just submitted to RIM and Novell to be on that list.. apparently they're being really selective on who they allow beta test. Hopefully this high-profile govt job will be good for something :p

public beta testing should be available to the public (or maybe just TSupport customers). thats usually how it is, atleast. its been that way with various game betas, microsoft betas, etc. RIM specifically used the term 'public beta' when i requested it from our RIM Tech Manager contact.

To follow up ScoobyDoo's question as to whether anybody is going to any of the V4.0 Information Seminars, I will be coming over to the New York seminar on the 11th November.

Are there any others going? Would be good to meet up.

I'll be at the DC seminar on the 26th. It's an all-day event, with a luncheon afterwards, so hopefully by friday I'll have some cliff notes to post up.

I went to the one in LA. It's nothing but Sales and Marketing. Anything new you can find off the internet or here.
