There is a NDA on the project, so some people won't talk about it if/when it's up.

I'm really anxious to get that pop-up!

@ PPCMD

I posted a link to it a page back. I'd get it for you but I'm on my BlackBerry right now and leaving the forum on it is scary.
I appreciate the offer, but I downloaded the alpha shortly after WES. I signed up for the Beta in mid-April. I'm a Viigo freak and really looking forward to this.

To SimpleIsBetter: You couldn't have said it better!

Koleary: I was thinking the same thing--because of the countdown clock on the Project Tango page.

Mikeypants,

I received an email telling me to look for a pop-up to install a new version on the 12th.

There was nothing in the email regarding an NDA or need to sign an NDA and I'm not asking anyone to violate an NDA.

Please do not imply that I am since you don't know what you are talking about.

SMF

The email I received -

Dear Viigo WES Edition user,

In a few days you will receive a popup message, prompting you to upgrade to the latest version of Viigo. This upgrade is an important pre-requisite for a range of new Viigo services that will appear over the coming weeks.

The upgrade will be smooth and easy, especially if you already have a Viigo Account ID.

If you do not have a Viigo Account ID, you’ll want to create one so that you can automatically take your channels with you every time you upgrade, or when you switch devices. If you do not have a Viigo Account ID, simply create one by clicking: Options > Account, hitting the Menu Button and selecting Create New Account.

In this upgrade you’ll notice that we’ve removed the WES service and improved performance and memory utilization. Stay tuned for much more; beginning June 12th, you’ll also automatically be entered into our public beta program.

I don't think he was implying that.

So, the private beta has been released? I wish someone could confirm this.

There's a lot of people waiting on it who are probably never going to get it. It would be nice if someone could let them down sooner rather than later.

Peace,

Which is precisely why I've been watching this thread (and others like it) like a hawk. Not that it makes a difference, but it's nice to know that I'm not being left out.

according to the countdown it is Midnight tonight....or to be exact, June 17 but that may be inaccurate as it keys off of the local machine time and doesn't account for timezones, etc. Not to dissappoint but you might not see it until tomorrow, if at all.

Thanks for the clarification! There were some posts above hinting that the countdown was for the release of the public beta, which would mean that the private beta has been released (and I probably missed it)!! Glad to know that this is not the case.

Man, there's a lot of people really anxious for this, including me!! I hope it lives up to all the hype! Here's to hoping it's today

Peace,

Uh oh! The countdown for Project Tango just added another 6 or so hours to it. Making it around 6pm PST tomorrow for me.

wat up with this.....take down the countdown clock Viigo!!!!! It means nothing apparently. Boy, I wish I had a countdown clock that I could change on a regular basis on my delivery schedules. Imagine if we could change all countdown clocks....Y2K wouldn't have been a big deal because we could have changed the countdown clocks that were sold at all the stores to be whenever we were ready for 2000 to come.

Sorry, move this one response to the Rants and Raves if you wish!!!!

It's not that big of a deal for me. I check Viigo everyday and still have a working beta of it so I can't complain to much.

I see it more as bad marketing on their part. Obviously, something wasn't working right for them not to pull the trigger when the original countdown expired. Oh well...what are we gonna do...

Thank you. The timer is indeed back on. I feel like the space shuttle. If my math is correct, we are looking at a 6:00 p.m. EST launch.
