Default 8820 won't register to BIS, cannot receive service books

Please Login to Remove!

hello Sir

i have this kind of problem, my gsm card already activate for BIS (Blackberry Internet Service) when i put into the phone, already try to register device to network using Host Routing Table, but after register to network, i do not receive any notification, and the gprs is still in small letter instead of GPRS (this is when the device already successfuly registered to BIS service)

but if my simcard is put on other device it can register to BIS easily and i get "GPRS" instead of "gprs"

also already make new user account on blackberry site and my PIN is accepted, try to send service books, but my 8820 does not receive service books

so anyone has knowledge on how to register blackberry to network so it can be activated on BIS

or this handheld of mine is broken? i already tried to upgrade to the latest OS 4.5

kindly advice

Was your 4.5 upgrade succesful?

Who is your carrier?
You should go to he carrier BIS site and send the Service Books from there.

Did you try logging into your previous account (hopefully with the same carrier) and use the change device option?

There is a support page for their carrier ---> Indosat Matrix. Just type Indosat Matrix on Google or your favorite search provider. I don't have a clue how to figure out this carriers support but I think you are on the right track with registering in the change device area for the carrier's BIS!
