Hi everybody,
I just bought a BlackBerry 8100 Pearl, it's been two days I am using it and I am already addicted to it. However, there are some little problems. When I connect my BB to my PC (running vista, which I hate by the way) everything seems to work fine, but when I close the Desktop Manager (clicking the X button) or disconnect the BB, I (sometimes, about 50% of the time) get the blue screen of death and my BB and my computer restart at the same time...It's the first time I get a blue screen of death on vista (it was about time ) so I am a little bit confused, I don't really know where the problem comes from. When I check my BB after the BSoD (Blue Screen of Death) everything seems fine (including the changes I recently made). Vista say the problem comes from the program but I don't really know...
Is there a particular way to disconnect the BB? Or can I just pull out the cable? When I am using it as external storage, if I try to "eject" it, it says that the BB is in uses and I can't disconnect it this ways...
I have given you all the info I have on the problem, can somebody help me with this please?

which version of DM are you running? go to BlackBerry and download 4.2 service pack 2. it is by far the most stable version that includes all the "new enhancements". Welcoem to the forums by the way. you dont need to eject the blackberry, just unplug the USB cable, works fine for me dozens of time per day on dozens of devices. welcome to the forums btw

The version that comes with the phone will BSoD you everytime. Download the latest version.

Thank you for your answers. I tried to download the 4.2 SP2 version but, I dln't know why, the dowload speed is very low (30kb/s max). I will try to download it tomorrow again. And thanks for the nice welcome (Sith_Apprentice, you said btw welcome two times )
I'll keep you informed about what happens after I install the new version.

OK I managed to download Desktop Manager 4.2 SP2 and it works perfectely, no BSoD. Thanks a lot.
