That app just uses the indicator led. The camera flash led is a bazillion times brighter

If it's the camera flash you want, I think you just go to the video recording feature and turn the light on there.

I think that the OP is looking for an application that allows use of the camera's "flash" as a makeshift "flashlight," independent of camera use.

Basically, he wants to use the light like he would a flashlight attached to his keychain.

Ah okay. I think in that case, video recorder. Because I haven't heard about programs that let one use the camera flash as a flashlight. One of the more requested apps, but I dont think it doable due to RIM programming?
