8320 is coming to TMobile on the 24th of this month. Posted about all over this board as many are anxiously awaiting it's debut.

No, it's not the only one.
The BlackBerry 7270 (not very popular) had WiFi, and the 8320 has WiFi.

I think I may have been one of the 9 people that actually tried using that thing. ;)

wow thanks for the fast reply. Strange why the 7270 never made it big before.

Well, for one, there was not as wide access to WiFi when it came out.

And for two, it was ONLY WiFi and had no GSM or CDMA capabilities. Which made it useful only where there was WiFi.

It was a non starter.

I'd be interested to see a similar WiFi only device to the 7270 available now. It'd be a great SIP phone for an office environment. As someone else pointed out, WiFi and SIP were not big when they intro'ed the device. Now that both of these are incredibly common, they could re-launch it probably with much more success.

One of the problems with the 7270 was that it was only sold through RIM. Obviously none of the carriers would touch it as they don't see any revenue.

And Marketing is not one of RIMM's strengths.

I was at an AT&T store yesterday, and the manager told me that Blackberry is coming out with a new device for AT&T with "WIFI", which will mean high speed web surfing, "sometime this fall".

No, it's the Curve (8300) + WiFi. The 8820 is the 8800 with WiFi.

What about the mythical "Poppa Bear" 88xx? One with WiFi and GPS together. Or was that the 8830 "world phone" for Verizon/Sprint?

EDIT: My whole post was done out of idiocy and was removed. I think it was a blow to the head by a donkey named marybell who took its name from a cow because it was roaming the wrong pasture one day. It got kicked about the head, neck and face with a large hoof adorned by a gold M, leaving the mark on its head. Quite disturbing really. *shakes head*
