Default Verizon 8830 sent emails undeliverable

Had my Blackberry 8830 (Verizon) for a month now - I have set up email to send emails from my Exchange 2003 server via Mail Connector. I can receive emails without a problem, but if I try to reply, or if I try to compose a new email to someone in my contact list, the message bounces with the following error :

The following recipient(s) could not be reached:

'firstname lastname <email@isp.net>' on 11/3/2007 2:33 PM
The e-mail account does not exist at the organization this message was sent to. Check the e-mail address, or contact the recipient directly to find out the correct address.
<smtp.myexchangeserver.com#5.1.1>

Here are a few relevant tidbits -
1) the email address is valid, I can send to this email address from the BlackBerry if I actually type the email address in or send from my desktop
2) The problem is only if I reply or choose someone from my contact list to send to from the BB
3) When I look in my desktop Outlook sent items folder, I see the email I sent, but the email properties shows the exact same thing for both the display name and the email address ---
Display name: 'firstname lastname <emailaddress@isp.net>'
Email address: firstname lastname <emailaddress@isp.net>

So, it looks like Outlook is bouncing this message because the format for the email address isn't right. I have searched this entire forum as well as the BlackBerry web site community for an answer, but for a month now I basically have an expensive email display without the ability to reply without entering the email address manually when I send.

HELP ! I AM GOING CRAZY !

Thanks, Paul

That makes two of us. If anyone has a clue how to fix this issue, i'm getting the same thing with Mail Connector and my Exchange Server (2003)

I tried setting it up using OWA but something about my owa it doesn't like so the mail connector was the only way, although it cannot send email !@?!@
