Ok, so I got a BlackBerry Bold 9000 for my birthday in October last year. I bought a new housing cover and all that for it, and when I tried to change the screen cover, I accidently broke the LCD screen. The other day I bought a new one off of eBay and put it on. I installed it exactly how I was supposed to and it went on fine.

Then I put it onto the charger and tried to turn it on. Nothing came up, the only thing I could see was a white screen. I tried recharging it and doing a battery pull. But it continued to stay white. I know that the phone was on because when I tried to take a picture, it would make the picture sound.

Now, I have probably done a battery pull about 3 times, and I have tried to connect it to my computer with no luck. Now all that comes up is well, nothing. All I get is a blank screen, the keyboard lights up, and the LED light still goes red when taking it off and putting it back on the charger.

Is there something wrong with my actual BlackBerry or is it just the LCD display screen? Please help, I have tried EVERYTHING including taking the phone apart and putting it back together, battery pulls, and putting it on the charger all night, then keeping it on the charger and taking the battery out in the morning.

Thanks so much, I go back to school in a couple of days, and would like it if I had a phone to take with me.

Sounds like it is related to the display. I would double (triple) check connections between the device and the display. Did the device work before you changed the display?

Sorry for the late reply, I could find my thread. -.-

Anyways, the device worked fine before I changed it! It was just after I accidently broke the screen that it decided not to come up at all.

Today I received a new screen, seeing as there are actually 4 different types of screens and I know my BB is on, but all that comes up is a pink screen with a couple of vertical lines. It only turns on when its on the charger though. When I press the BB symbol on the keyboard, it changes colour but I still cant see anything! It just goes green!

Mum is thinking of contacting BB themselves and asking them, but I don't really want to go to that extent.

RIM doesn't provide that type of support. In fact, they will charge you just to talk to you about it. You need to talk to your carrier or find a shop that fixes BBs.
