When a call comes in I push the button on the headset to answer the call it goes quiet for a moment and then continues to ring but won't answer. I end up having to pick up the phone and click the dial button to answer the call. I use the headset mostly in the car so this can be a problem. I am concerned because I have a Bluetooth headset on the way and would hate to have the same problem. I am on a 7100t with BOS 4.

and searched this site for an answer without finding anything. I did some experimenting and there are a couple of things to check:

1. Make sure the jack is pushed ALL THE WAY IN. It may indeed by so in your case but I think in mine it wasn't;

2. It appears the button is sensitive to how long it's pushed in. A brief push answers/hangs up-a longer push does something else but I'm not sure what.
