I have switched to a BB pearl from a samsung p260 which i was using for uma (unique i think it was called on the samsung) calls as we have no mobile reception in the house.

Now it seems to connect fine i have the UMA on the screen and i can make and receive calls. It does sometimes not connect and this seems to be cured by pulling the battery. Thats no so much of a problem.

However its during calls i have a big problem. If we both speak at the same time it will cut off what i hear from the other end. The sound comes back once im quiet again and it makes conversations very hard to follow!!

Its almost as if the phone hasnt got enough bandwith to do a connection both ways or something if that makes any sence?

My connection is 800 up / 3616 down with quite low pings (from pc)

I have opened the following ports and pointed them to the static ip ive given the blackberry 500, 4500 & 4101 but that seems to have made no difference.

Ive tried the phone on a few wireless routers at friends houses but there is no difference (although i didnt alter any port settings)

Im reluctant to think its the router or internet connection as ive been making calls over the internet using the samsung p260 for over 12 months with no problems. We could both speak at the same time and the only thing that causes stutters was if i was downloading as well.

Sorry if thats a bit long winded ive googled and not really found anything about this so im hoping im missing something obvious!
