I must be newer then I thought, I know I asked in another thread, but now I can't find it... So my question is, (am I understanding this right) you have to activate the trial ATTnavigator in order the initiate the GPS reciever in the Bold? and you can cancel the trial, with the GPS reciever still active? And this will allow me to use BB Maps/google Maps/anyother GPS software? If I up grade my OS will I have to go through this procedure again? One loop hole my 8525 had, was I could used the free 3-day trial of XM radio as many times as I wanted if I were to reset the device ever 3 days, not that I did it every 3 days, but it worked! Sorry for all the questions... still trying to learn and understand

I have never activated the AT&T Nav and my GPS works just fine. I had Google Maps on my phone at one time, but didn't care for it. If you go into the Options/Advanced Options/GPS and verify that your location is on and the location aiding is either Enabled or Disable While Roaming you should be fine.

Pink, thanx I just did a successful download, and at first it wouldnt recognize my GPS, but their help site led me to options and allowing the amaze applications to read me (the bold lol)...

working like a charm so far, will use it tonight, going out to a restaurant I have never been to before, and cant wait to try it. Thanx for the heads up! Much appreciated.
