I would like to purchase an unlocked 8220 and use it on AT&T. I currently have an iPhone, so I would like to use the SIM card that I have in the 8220. I also have a Treo 680 that I've been using with the same SIM card from the iPhone and I was able to get mail/data on that, so I know that the iPhone SIM should work with the 8220. One question, though, how would I setup the email account connection to both GMail and Exchange? The T-Mobile 8220 had an application that would connect to T-Mobile's server to manage the GMail and Exchange accounts. Since I do not currently have a Blackberry plan on AT&T, how would I set this up? Has anyone else attempted to use an unlocked 8220 on AT&T? Also, where can I purchase an unlocked 8220?

You will NEED a Blackbery Data plan to use a BB online or to get email. Other plans will not work on AT&T.

I am posting this reply with an unlocked Tmo 8220 on AT&T. I bought the device already unlocked on ebay and slipped the SIM card from my 8100, did an Enterprise Activation for my BES and resent the service books for my personal email accounts and everything has been working like a charm. Coming from the Pearl, I love the new Pearl flip. I'm a big fan of the SureType; the larger keys of the 8220 make it all the better. Good luck with your new flip.
