Default SMS Logging

Please Login to Remove!

If I send an SMS message from my BB and then immediately delete it from my handhled will it still show in the SMS logs on the BES? (assuming the SMS wireless sync policy is enabled (False))

I'm guessing the BES must poll my handheld every few minutes for any sms messages I have on it? Can anyone confirm how this works?

Thanks. I looked here earlier but still cannot find the definitive answer to my questions. Can you be more specific? Sorry if I'm missing the obvious :-s

I appreciate the info. I'm still unclear as to whether deleting sms messages from my handheld immediately after sending would prevent them showing in the BES log files? How often does the server retrieve the sms messages from my device?

Thanks in advance

No, it is tracked soon as it is sent.

Thanks southwestcomm & penguin3107. I guess there's no easy way of keeping my personal message content off the server then (other than use a seperate device)?

Now I'm being pedantic but how does this work? I send a GSM text message then my HH uploads the message to the BES via GPRS is that correct? From reading other threads I thought the server polled my HH at a set interval?
