Default Just got my Sprint 8330

Please Login to Remove!

Left ATT because of higher prices for unlimited data usage. Went to MetroPCS for a few months and now it was time to look for a new provider. Went to ATT and its $50 a month for unlimited data. Said forget that even though they are great in Miami where I live. Checked out TMobile but the 8310 was to expensive at $199.99. Finally went to Sprint and got the 8330 Data unlimited with 450 for $69.99, and the phone was $99.99. Not bad I think. I will try it out for the 30 days making sure I get service everywhere. If I like it I will keep it and bring my wife over. Its really either TMobile or Sprint.

I don't know if it's worth the hassle (Taking your phone back). But BestBuy is giving the phone away for free, that's where I got mind. I am also really happy with the service, I live in Florida. But I live out in the country, North of Orlando. I get 3G signals with 3 bars all over the small towns and in between. Orlando had really good 3G signal. MY 8830 VZW, that is still active. Still gets better signal, but is only one bar better. Not worth the $50 average premium over Sprint if you ask me.

Sprint also offers employee referal programs. If you search the sprint website for everything plus referral you will find out how to log in. I forgot the information, you need an employee email and part of their employee ID. I remember I used the VP of Marketing, as he posted the necessary info in a blog. The plan features are pretty awesome, for 59.99 you get 500 anytime mins, nights and weekends at 7, unlimited text, unlimited BIS, unlmited sprint nav, as well as free activation, and over night shipping, the phone was $80 after the $100 mail in rebate.

I have been with Sprint for years now. I have had data plans for only about 2 now but in Atlanta the service is great. I couldn't be any happier with Sprint!

I can't say for other devices (e.g., Windows Mobile), but I know that Blackberries on Sprint lack MMS support right now. There are rumors flying around left and right about when it will be available, but what we do know for sure is that Sprint Blackberries will eventually have it.

It could be next week, month, several months from now, who knows. Just don't get your hopes up for anything soon.

I agree, I am glad I went with Sprint. I was going to go with AT&T and Bold. But being as I don't have much credit, Sprint was my best choice (Well besides T-Mobile and Metro). AT&T wanted $500 deposit, plus $200-300 or whatever for the Bold. Sprint wanted $100 and BestBuy was giving this beast away for free. The others did not want a deposit, but Sprint is the better provider (In my area). So it was a no brainer for me, at least. MMS would be nice, but I could wait. It's annoying when a friend sends you a pic and I can't open it. But that's very seldom. None the less, the phone is free. Plain is a really good deal compared to others. 450 Mins, Unlimited Data, Unlimited Text, Sprint Navigation, Sprint TV, Etc. Etc. for $69.99 a month. That's a bargain if you ask me, I happened to like Sprint TV. I thought it was dump at first, but is nice to watch CNN while waiting. Also Night & Weekends starting at 7:00 PM, damn that sold me. I am just debating on insurance (see other thread), but I have an idea. But when (I am sure someday) the 8900 comes to Sprint, I will probably just buy that.

I'm also on Sprint, and have been for a few years. They have taken very good care of me and I also couldn't be happier.

The MMS thing is a BlackBerry on Sprint issue. My Centro and Treo 800w both can do MMS. However, neither is the smartphone that my Curve is, so it's a tradeoff I'm willing to make.

Sprint's Blackberries don't support MMS, sorry. But some day they will, just wait. Hey, are you interested in selling the 800w? It's a Palm Treo 800w correct? I am interested in this device for testing purposes, thanks.

Wirelessly posted (BOLD)

Ust keep in mind that sprint is a dieing company. They sold back their towers to get money to stay afloat.

Just something to keep in mind.

That sucks, when is the last time Sprint built a tower? For me Sprint was the best choice. They where giving the BB 8330 away for free and only required $100 deposit. All the other big carriers wanted $500 deposit. Besides Altel and TMobile, I believe they did not want a deposit. But there reception in my area is poor, Sprint, VZW, and AT&T is really good (They even have 3G). But to top it off, Sprint had the cheapest plains. But I know when I travel and especially out west, that I am shit out of luck. But hey, have limited Credit history kinda limits your choice.

Sprint is working on this issue. The site admin posted in the "Buzz About Wireless" review section on the BB Curve that it is soon to be released. Cross our fingers. Remember that in the beginning you couldn't MMS on the 800w either, until Sprint released the software fix.

I am planning on selling my 800w, FYI.
