Hi,

I cannot record .wav voice notes using VR+ (Shape services) or Vnotes (dollars5) on my VZW 8830. The device is:
Verizon Wireless 8830 World Edition
OS 4.2.2.196
BES
SD Media Card

Please forgive me if this has been addressed before, but after searching for several hours, nothing has come up.

If VR+ is set to "WAVE" i get "Unsupported record encoding type." Vnotes only allows me to record in "AMR" and does not let me select any other options.

I contacted Shape and got:
"The error message "Unsupported record encoding type" is not from our application. The wave format is not supported on your device model."

Now, the problem with that response is that my berry has no problem playing wave files, whether sent over e-mail or stored on the card. Is it possible that the 8830 cannot record in WAV format?

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
