Default Screen replacement?

Please Login to Remove!

Alright I have a huge huge huge problem; The snow up here in Canada was melting and i was getting out of my truck and i dropped my BB Pearl in a HUGE puddle of water. I dried it out and did the rice trick and my Aunt was like "Oh its been 2 days lets try it", I turn it on and it works and i was like "hurray" so after a day of it working it was good, but the next morning the screen turned a pure white, every once in awhile it has lines going down it.

And i go to my telus store in the mall today and they said cause its moisture damage and since its a blackberry screen replacements arnt availible even though I'm paying for the screen. The dumb women said i had to spend another 400 dollars for a new black berry because BB can't get screen replacements; Is this true?

I'm going to call telus in the morning just thought I'd ask the real people.

Edit:

It is a Black Berry 8130, Provider is Telus

I was on the same boat a while ago..so yea def. buy the part its around 40 buck and you can also buy it locally... its a piece of cake you just need a specific screw driver and you get done about 45min later. make sure that you touch another piece of metal so you dont shock your phone, and go on you tube its more affordable...
good luck
