It will use the same routines used today; Desktop Manager or the Loader program loaded onto the PC. I'm sure Over The Air (OTA) pushes will be made, but no one knows what carriers will support them.

9700 will be equipped with OS6 in late 2010 or 2011.

OK - so this guy asks the same question that I did earlier and it doesn't get moved to the "Rumor Mill" subforum like how my question did? What's the difference? I still haven't gotten a direct response from the moderator who moved my thread to a subforum where it obviously didn't belong. Come on.

Seriouslly, cant wait for new OS and I hope RIM fix the bloody awful brownser. Its amazing how it takes forever to them to improve it while they still hold as "worst mobile browser ever" (sarcastic - before i get quoted ). Im sure a better brownser would give them way better sells as its one of their major flaws on past OSs.

Rogers is supposed to release the Torch on Sept 24. I have a friend working at RIM and he said Rogers has OS 6 and is testing it. Release from them is supposed to be late Oct 2010. I don't know how reliable the Rogers Oct 2010 is but that is what their techs have been saying based on their testing.

It's also now on the Bell site, google "Bell: Blackberry Torch" and it should be one of the first results... On an other note, its rumored that the carriers in Canada won't be putting out OS 6 till late this year or early 2011.

Patience my friend. Not everything new is good. I use office 2010 64 bit and was so excited when I saw DM 6.0 only to find it won't sync the calender and I have to wait until 2010 before I can get it synched. So needless to say not everything needs to be done right away.

I'm just as excited as you are but I'll be doing homework before upgrading to OS 6.

I doubt very much if Office 2010 64 bit is going to sync in any event.
Speaking about homework...

93xx is a newer device and has the hardware to support OS 6. 9700 may never receive OS 6.0 only time will tell

Stop whining about it

According to BlackBerry Connection OS 6 will be released for the 9700, 9650, Perl 3G and all future devices (subject to carrier certification).
