My idea is NOT original. How about considering a Poster of the Year and Rookie Poster of the Year. The acknowledged members would show their titles in their profiles.

Interesting idea.. With a forum this big and active maybe would also do a Poster of the week/month? Or would that be too many?

Man - with 2,500 people on line at any given time...how in the hell would anyone keep track of such a thing? Pretty daunting assignment right there.

Might have to download that coin-flip app from Fabian!

I have seen it in other forums. You would start a thread and take nomination. I would see it as an annual thing. Heck. Some sites have you evaluate your peers posts

People would list their rationale and the mods could privately decide

Maybe some type of "kudos" function like the BB forums.. but that is probably a whole system in itself, probably alot more work in implementing that then anything.

jsconyers,
With all seriousness, I had you mine when I proposed the idea. I wish I would have posted this before your post today.

I really appreciate that! However, I wouldn't want any kind of title or acknowledgment. I've learned a good portion of what I know about BlackBerry devices from this forum. I am only trying to give back some knowledge to new members as the knowledge was given to me when I was new. I happen to enjoy helping others out as well. The "thank you" I receive from posters that I've helped is acknowledgment enough.

Having said that, I do like the idea and I feel there are others that deserve it. Such as John Clark with all of his well-written instructions on how to backup/restore 3rd party apps, or his guide on memory optimization. Or Stinsonddog for all of his guides on all different blackberry model devices. Even JSanders and Raptor464 for always keeping the latest official OS threads current.

Understood. It is a general suggestion that doesnt have to include any of us.
