Hi all, We have a Bes 4.0 running with exchange.
After doing a database upgrade and having to recovered a crashed blackberry databse. We are now unable to view attachments? The bb attachment services have been stopped and started. Evrything else on the server seems fine. When you pull the attachment from the BB the object is just not there?
Anybody had this?

Have you checked the BlackBerry Server Configuration applet to see if the settings are still there? Is your attachment service local (meaning you have a single box install type) or is the service running on a remote box?

Is there an Error when you attempt to Retrieve the Attachment? To get the error you need to attempt to retrieve the attachment a second time.

just upgraded from 3.6.5 to 4.0. BES on w2k server. Exchange is 2003 no sp. I cannot open attachments either. Trying to do so I get " Attachement server cannot be found" and an x next to the content. Any help appreciated!

Check the Attachment Server name in the Server Config utility. You may want to set it to Localhost and restart the Attachment Service.

what did you do to resolve this. I am getting the same error and I am on 4.1 for domino

I installed SP1 and hotfix1 on my onetime upgrade from 3.6.5 to ver4.0
