Default Where are my Fav 5?

Please Login to Remove!

Using Rogers-branded unlocked 8900 on the T-Mo US network. The phone works flawlessly but with 2 problems. The fav-5 (uniquely to T-mo) isn't showing ~ I reactivated the service book a couple of times already; emails are fine) . Problem #2 is that my Mac (via USB cable) isn't charging the phone (I'll post in the Mac area as well on this issue).
Any thoughts?

Do you have My Faves service on your account with T-Mobile?

Wirelessly posted (bb8320TMO)

You need the myfav app, look for it in a tmo OS and install it on your 8900. If you need more help let me know.

Take any of the available 8900 firmware releases. They all have the MyFaves application included.

You don't need the whole OS, you just need the files specified in JC's post above.

So when JC's the link directs me to T-Mobile I can chose 8320 and the pick the necessary MyFav portion? I am asking because the link suggests that I will actually redo the entire OS. When it takes me to T-Mobile I get the message that it is a "Handheld Software (v 4.5.0.81) upgrade."

you still need to install the os on your computer to see the myfav cod files JC is talking about. Even when you install the OS on your computer, it will NOT be installed on your device because it is not for the 8900. Again, you just need the myfav cod files.

What I do when my MyFavs go away is to go to my.T-Mobile.com > Manage My Faves > Support > MyFaves Are Missing section and they will push the app and refresh your selections for you. At least it works for me.

Frank

From Web Site: You must have a valid myFaves device
and plan to utilize this feature - so might not work on Rogers 8900. Sorry.

Thanks, but this is a different issue. This is NOT a T-Mobile-branded phone. The idea here is to load MyFavs into an unlocked phone.
According John Clark there's a way to do this, similarly to getting various themes that are not native to your phone.
