Default Help please.

Please Login to Remove!

Hello, I hope there is someone who can help me with this problem. I have 9700 Bold from T-Mobile USA. I'm traveling over seas in Jordan now and I used a sim card from here. Whenever someone calls me I can't view their name even if their number is saved, and when I want to make a call I have to dial as I'm dialing international even if its local. If someone knows anything about this please let me know.

Thanks

I don't have direct knowledge on how other GSM carriers handle your phone configuration with a local region SIM card, or why it would have anything to do with your contacts, but I do know that it matters that you had your phone unlocked before going and I am guessing that having to dial international may indicate that it is being routed back thru T-Mobile in the US, which would also mean you are getting charged the international rate per minute. If you did have T-Mobile unlock it a few weeks before traveling there, maybe contacting cust support or thru online methods will help get that resolved. Best of luck to you.

Go into the Phone Dialer, Options, Smart Dialing and make sure that the Country Code is set properly. It is likely set to +1 for the US.

Not sure what the previous poster is talking about since the phone actually works, indicating it is alredy unlocked.
