You are brave. Someone working for Verizon posting in a Verizon GPS thread?? Pure suicide.

There have never been any reports of hacking into the GPS from any of the other carrier's BB's (CDMA or GSM.) It's a good story but I don't buy that excuse. Why is it that once you subscribe to VZNav the GPS can be used by other apps? It just doesn't hold water.

buahahahahah. NOPE! No one can hack it. You have bought in your corporate talking points. It can't be hacked and access "all your informations".

What is 3rd Party GPS? the 8830 GPS is built in to the device, not 3rd party.

Again, wrong. the AT&T Nav app (TeleNav) has live traffic. Check it out. Oh--you can't on Verizon if your's is locked, eh?

Not only that.. If you did hack into it, then made it public, I would expect a visit from the NSA or FBI take your pick. Both would be interested in your hack. Since both departments use bb's for it's internal email and data solutions.

Good luck!! Say hi to buba at Gitmo for me..

This is not possible. Period. Please don't give Verizon and yourself a bad name here by spouting this misinformation.
