I am studying for my BCP-410 Blackberry exam and I am struggling to find training material & books for this exam, I was wondering if anyone out there is kind enough to point me in the right direction where I can obtain PDF books, guides or CBT’s from? thanks [email address]

Study the BES installation and administration documentation.
That'll cover more just about everything on the exam.

Oh, come on now.
If you can't find the documentation for BES, then I think you might not even want to bother taking the test.

That's a bit harsh, there are a lot of questions that you won't just find in the documentation.

Study everything, should get you over the line.

Of course it's a bit harsh. Some people need a little slap with reality sometimes.
Let's be real here. If you have no idea where to get the BES documentation, then you have no business testing to be a BES admin.
That's just ridiculous.

To answer, go to BlackBerry. However, I have to agree with soupers and ask the same questions. While I thought it was rather stupid for RIM to have a certification on being able to find your way around the BTSC (one of the 200 certs), it now makes some sense. I've yet to hear of anyone not passing this certification, so please let us know how you do

I take it all with a grain of salt. Mobility is hot right now so you will have a lot of people rushing to do anything to be "marketable". While I have passed 410 I would think the 8+ years supporting BES/Blackberry speaks more then passing an exam.

I don't even bother adding all my certs (MCP,MCSE,A+, Network+, CCNA etc) as most of them are worthless without real world experience.

My advise to anyone wanting to be an admin of any kind - learn the product not how to pass the test. Setup a VM / spare box and load the free version of BES. Get yourself some simulators or your own BB. Read the Admin / Installation guide. Read the security policy guide. Get familiar with Desktop Manager.

I have 15 people who can add and remove users but at the end of the line is me and I have to know this infrastructure inside and out.
