You meant 'decrease' right? And while we're on the tangental subject, does one turn the AC up or down to make it colder?!?!?

I can't for the life of me get this stupid TMO download to complete. It keeps hanging at 40-50% downloaded.

Any alternate links to the Handheld Software update? I got the desktop update okay.

Thanks in advance.

I'm just curious - aren't the 7100t and 7100g basically the same device? How come I or many other 7100"G" users have never had any of the problems that all 7100t users keep complaining about.

I'm usually the first to upgrade the moment a new software comes out and I've never had problems updating, never had the unit crash/restart, never had the "Gray box",etc etc.

Me thinks there's more to the "T" to "G" than just software...hardware firmware maybe?!

The same hardware is inside. But they have different themes loaded.

i'd say that there are more issues with the person doing the installation and/or their software/hardware configuration on their PC. or you just simply aren't hearing from the 7100g users - there are a signifcant number of more TMO users on the 7100 platform, from what i remember from old stats.

WOAH! I was just reading this thread when by 7100 went nuts. It got emails from the Server and now I have the option to delete messages from handheld or handheld and mail box and the setup internet icon suddenly appeared. Looks like TMO got their upgrade done...

I have upgraded the new desktop and handheld software and I am having problems with syncing my info.

I usually sync all the options from Outlook, but now in the options for Handheld Configuration when I select an Application like Calendar or Memo Pad there is no option available to select Outlook.

So now I get the "No applications selected for synchronization" message.

I have selected MS Outlook as my Profile settings...

Anyone know what the hell I have done?

Thanks,
Cameron

As long as I can hear on my Bluetooth headset, I can live with resets.

I have no issues with Bluetooth or Resets. I am using a Motorolla HS820. Its not super loud in my car, but I can drive and hear. I drive a sports car..so its no the quietest cabin either. I have also never had anyone complain about sound quality...I guess I am lucky..

Any BES users having issues with "Email Settings" and "Email Filters" under Options in Messages?

When I goto both of those, they're blank after the upgrade

Upgrading to 4.0.2.49
I was at 4.0.2.x and moved back to 3.8. Either I don't have the sound issue or my ears are not sensitive enough to tell the difference. I can tell you that for the month and change I was at 3.8 I NEVER ONCE had to reboot my 7100. I was rebooting at least twice a week under 4.0.<whatever>.

I'm just about done with the update to .49 and have high hopes of a loud and fast 7100t

Well I hope the bluetooth volume for you is ok, but for me it is horrible. I've been on 3.8 and had refused to move because of the volume issue. BT with the 3.8 version volume wise was great, actually turning it down a notch or two once in a while but alas with the new 'upgrade' the volume is cut almost in half!

I can't understand after so many of us complained about the volume going away after 4.0 came out and the multiple revisions since that this is still an issue. I'm very dissapointed in this. May have to look for a different BB device.

Default stupid question time (two, actually)

is 3.8 the version that is on the CD-ROM that came in the box when i bought the dang thing? and is the blue tooth volume really that much louder? i drive a total beater mini-van (89 voyager) and its loud as hell in the cabin, even if im doing 25 mph with the windows up and all accessories off. i dont know if a slight increase in headset volume would matter much in my case.
