Default 7100t is calling itself

Please Login to Remove!

Hey All--

Strange problem. Every time I miss a call my BB calls itself. No one is there, it just calls with ME as the number on the caller ID. TMO were clueless. Here's the process:
1) Someone calls
2) I ignore it or just don't hear it, whatever, just miss the call
3) Get, or don't get VM indicator, doesn't matter
4) My 7100 starts ringing and the caller ID shows my name and number
5) I pick up and no one is there.

Suggestions welcome...and nothing about ghosts

Question

Scary, if you ask me! Anyway, I take it you've tried removing the battery and sim, and no luck there?

I wonder if reloading the software on the device would help?

I am on the Verizon network and you can configure the option by calling your voicemail and selecting an option within. On Verizon, you set the option to call you for only "urgent" calls (caller has the option to mark a message as urgent) or set it "for all calls." I changed the option to call me back for only "urgent" calls so in the middle of the night I get a second ring. I suspect there is an option to turn it off completly if you desire.

mwyarm--

Pretty darn close. I dug around in the VM settings and found a pager reminder option. I'll see if that fixes it on the next missed call.

Thanks for the suggestion!

p.s. BTW, TMO support was not helpful.

BrianBerry--

Check your VM settings for some sort of notification.
