So I am new and I've been fidgeting with my 7100T for a couple days and so far, due the nature of my house and location, signal inside the house has been weak.

The good news: Last weekend we bought a copper table. This tamble seems to be made out some kind of cauldron and it has a flat copper top. It is light and sturdy and very handsome. The other unsuspected effect is signal boosting.

I am posting from my notebook with the BB connected as a modem - a fantastic feature I might add - and it is sitting on its wheel dealy side. The BB is pointing with its backside to the window, and signal is TWICE as strong as it used to be while holding it pointing to the same side.

I guess I will be carrying a copper or other metal plate with me on the road from now on, or at least some tinfoil (let the tinfoil hat jokes begin - so to find out if signal can be boosted on the road.

I feel now that I got my money's worth out of this table.

Is this true? Can anyone explain this? Where are the engineers?
