I just caught one of the orange staff going into work, they knew nothing of the launch, but told me to pop in later....

Now I'm worried...and also, any ideas what is needed to get a contract with them? I have driving licence and debit card wih me, will that be enough?

i was told last night, the only place to get one today, was from retail. The website and telesales, aint getting them till monday.

this is common practise... (so they say) - i find it had to belive mind, esp when the PR says "from orange channels"

Default Basildon

Orange Basildon just told me (at 0920) that they were expecting them in but now they're not so sure. Perhaps they'll know when their delivery arrives around 11.

Phoned up Orange apparently retail get them in quicker than upgrades via telephone or Internet. Not happy as you get a shit deal through retail.

Just been into the orange shop at trafford ctr, didn't see any bolds out on the floor, when enquired, was told they were not for upgrade, and brand new customers only. Called 156 back, they said this was rubbish. Went back into the shop, and after a conversation in the back, I was greated with an open blackberry bold box, with a handset inside it, covered in finger and thumb prints.. And I was told its £129.99 to upgrade... Safe to say, I still have my curve.

I phoned my local store - also told the handsets they had received were special and only "provisioned" for new contracts (as if it could only work for a new connection...). I didn't point that out for the utter bollox that is - it's just retail trying to get a jump on everyone else and get a few new signings before they're everywhere next week.

What does an upgrade mean?
Am I able to upgrade 3 months in a new contract?

Bah... I'd be willing to add the extra monthly charges, and an acceptable handset charge.

Nope - go to the Orange BIS site and set up your account to point towards your new berry's PIN.
