I'm using a Curve through our company's BES system that is tied to Exchange. Only my Entourage email, calendars & contacts are syncing. I need to sync my tasks/to-do's and notes. Can the new Desktop Manager co-exist with our BES system or will there be a conflict? I'm afraid to try it and then spend time pulling backups, etc.

If they do not work well together how else can I sync my Tasks/to-do's and notes on my MacBook Pro? Thanks!

Syncing tasks never worked for me with Entourage. I'm about to move my link2exchange acct to Exchange 2007 and see what happens with iCal and the address book on the Mac. I have only used wireless sync. I have not tried a USB sync with DM.

I'm not optimistic about tasks or notes. I have yet to hear of anyone getting those to work.

I'll report back on the process after it's done. I'm trying to schedule it for Tuesday. Link2Exchange tells me I'll need to wipe the device to avoid duplicate contacts. I'd be dead without DM for the Mac to keep the backup.

I use Mail2Web with Exchange 2007 and BES with Entourage 2008 WSE (Web Services Edition), and Notes, and Tasks sync fine wirelessly.

I am not a windows person. My Entourage 2007 does not seem to be WSE. How do I get that one?

I have a blackberry pearl .... not on BES .... could sync my Tasks ... but not my Notes ... sounds as if there might be some initial bugs in the new software ..

Make sure you have Entourage 2008 (and ALL updates installed for it). Then go to mactopia.com, and download the Web Services Edition update for Entourage and install it. WSE brings Entourage 08 closer (closest? to full Outlook parity).

Full functionality will require Exchange 2007 and all updates/service packs (which is probably beyond your control, since it's done by link2exchange). Should be able to check with them and see what they're running on the Exchange Server.

Link2Exchange was very helpful and the process was pretty painless. I am now on the Exchange 2007 servers and having no problems (yet).

After the update, Apple iCal seems to be able to wirelessly sync tasks. Snow Leopard and Mac DM work fine for me, but I'm only syncing wirelessly.
