Default Open Office doc's

Please Login to Remove!

I have a Bold 9700 , I want to transfer my Open Office documents to my phone and to be able to read them in the phone, l have Word to Go installed in the phone but it doesn't seem to find the documents i put in to the file , i assume i need a converter or something?

At the least you should be able to use Open Office to save the files as .doc and then copy to the BlackBerry, right? Have you tried that.

I don't know whether even BIS will open email attachments that are in the native Open Office format. I doubt it.

A friend told me to use Word and save them in rtf format but that doesn't seem to work , i should mention i am not on a BIS plan, thanks for the quick response though

The free docs to go that I have can open rich text.

Create a doc using microsft word if you can and drag and drop it to the media card and make sure you can open it. The open one of your open office files and save it as a doc and do the same. If you can't open the open office version of the doc file but you can open the dummy word doc, then you should look at the open office doc file as the problem, or maybe open office doc files in general as the problem. Unless someone comes along who knows, I say experiment and see if you can figure it out.

You do have a micro SD media card though, right?
