Default Disable "mark as read" from phone to Outlook??

Please Login to Remove!

Hi, I work for an IT company and I'm trying to find a solution for a customer's complaint. The customer owns a T-Mobile Blackberry (model unknown) and has it synchronized with Outlook Web Access to retrieve his emails.
When he opens an email on his phone, obviously it becomes marked as read. What this guy DOESN'T like is when he opens Outlook and the emails he opened on his phone are also opened (marked as read) in his Outlook inbox. It's a strange complaint, I know.

Are there any options anywhere that can disable this feature?
