Hello,

I have been search for a way to have Chinese input on my BB.

Currently, I can view Chinese characters on the handset, but Chinese is NOT one of the input language options when I try to switch input languages.

I have tried to load newer so-called "multilanguage" OS onto my BB, e.g. OS 7.1.0.342.

However, after loading this "multilanguage" OS, Chinese input is still NOT available as one of the input language options.

Can someone please help me?

When you loaded the OS, did you check the Chinese language support box to on?

Hi stevew,

I just double-checked that:
under "language and input support", there is no "Chinese" available, mainly European languages;
under "East Asian characters and font support" (I guess this is not to do with "input" but only displaying those characters"), there is "Chinese" and I have selected it when I loaded the OS.

But I would a function to enable input as well as to displaythe Chinese characters.

Any idea where I can get that? Thanks a lot!

I'm not sure which OS has it, but that one doesn't. You'll need to find an OS that has Chinese included...I know they do exist.

Thanks for your suggestion. That makes sense. Is there a place where can I find a list of OS's (for BB Bold 9900) to go through and check one by one?

my is a V7.0.0.353 and you can type chinese
pin yin or bopomo... so that might be something u can use
