Default 8800 order from cing corp rep

Please Login to Remove!

Has anyone ordered from a cing corporate rep? My rep still says they aren't in the system and so can't place the order. Even though I can get them from stores today (and I'm not in Texas) and I know the SKU: 64648. How is it that a retail store can get this before the corp rep can even order it? ridiculous.

Looks like they are not going to put them into the system till the day they are intorduced. This IS crazy. How come Texas got the units and were able to sell. Don't they have to be in the system to even sell them at the stores? I have never seen a one state roll out of a new device.

Oh well, just another day or two.

Well if it was just Texas then maybe I'd say something weird happened. and it was just Texas over the weekend, however as of noon today stores all over have them. I got 3 of 6 from a store in boca florida. yet my corp rep can't sell one yet.

Default Texas & 8800

I called stores all over Austin and San Antonio...some admitted to having them and not being able to sell them until the 21st, some said they sold them all on Saturday, some are saying they do not have them at all.

- I saw two guys at Barton Creek Mall in Austin with them.
- The Bee Caves corporate store sold all five of theirs on Saturday.
- Downtown only had two.
- I called Business End User Care - they said they don't carry the phone

I guess I have to wait until later this week.

So, as a normal (non-business acct) customer, I should be able to call Cingular on Wed and order an 8800? I've never called to order a phone before but have just gone down to a store.

It looks like it's going to be a pain in the you know what to get one of these full price so ordering it over the phone may be the way to go. As well as saving me lots of frustration!

*should* is a good word to use. Yes, you should. and if someone tells you they can't order call back and try again as you may get different results from different people.

I checked around a few stores in the Austin as well. No joy, either had not yet received them, or recieved them but won't sell until the 21st. They put one on hold for me until the 21st.

I walked into a Cingular store in a mall,
"You got the newest blackberry?"
"The Pearl?"
"No, the new one that is coming out on Wed?"
"Yes, come with me." Then he walked to the drawer, took out one, and gave it to me.
"Wow, you start selling them already?"
"Yeah, since Sunday."
"K, give me one."

Oklahoma City, OK, Monday, Feb 19.
