" Wipe Handheld " Question
Please Login to Remove!
My only option left to fix my phone is to wipe my handheld. ( according to someone that had the same problem as me , he did it and it worked fine for him. ) - http://www.blackberryforums.com/gene...e-buttons.html -
My questions are ( yes when it comes to phones , i really dont know anything )
1. How do i perform a "wipe handheld"
2. What exactly does it delete? just my addrese book/text messages and other things ive added on my phone since ive gotten it?
3. Can i do this without a usb port? ( i dont have one )
Much appreciate.

If you wipe using JL_Cmder, it will delete everything including the OS.
If you wipe via Options > Security Options > General Settings... -- it will just remove ALL personal data (contacts, memos, calendar appointments, settings, preferences, etc.)

No you just need to turn the radio back on, in the Manage Connections Icon...

You might need to get a hold of a PC with a USB port and do a complete wipe... As stated above...

Depending on what problem you ar having a wipe handheld will not fix a hardware or OS problem. All it does is erase owner entered data.

Assuming you get the cable to connect to a PC; why not use JL_Cmder to do a reset to factory specs?

So wiping with JL_Cmder and then reinstalling the OS and then doing John Clark's Memory Maximer, is that the cleanest and most efficient way of making your BB "optimal?"

Most do not need to wipe their device first. If your OS is running OK, just follow Mr. Clarks Memory tips and it will free up lots of memory.
