Default Blackberry as modem

Anyone know how to use a berry with a laptop to access the net from the road? I've had cases where I need to send files from a laptop in a "no coverage" zone. I could get a wireless card but heard there is a way to connect using a berry.
Any ideas?
thx

Very common use, called tethering... read here:

Good luck.

Keep in mind that this is not a free service with most carriers. So you may need to call your wireless service provider for your BB to turn this feature on. Our organization allows users to have this feature if they are only needing to connect once in a while since the wireless data card service is alot more expensive than tethering. Pro and Cons of both. Good luck.
