Please Login to Remove!

I transferred to the Sprint Tour yesterday afternoon. Not sure about the call quality yet, but here is what I have noticed:
1. the Bluetooth setup wizard launches & steps on the BES email activation wizard. When you try to close, it closes both wizards. Activating through Advanced Options>Enterprise Activation does the job, but you'd think someone would have tested this before releasing.
2. We use OCS for IM. The app shows in my BB Aplication list, but there isn't an icon to be found on the Home Screen or in ANY of the folders - Need to call RIM this morning...
3. no WIFI.
4. Its loaded with links to consumer apps (e.g. facebook, my space, NFL live, etc.) much like a new Windows PC. I have to remove all of the junk before deploying in my corporate environment.
5.much improved display over the 8830.
6. sometimes seem a little slow to change screens
7. not thrilled about the change in USB connector. Looks like I have to buy all new charging accessories - again...
All being said, I'm a little frustrated with it but not ready to condemn it. I'm willing to give it a chance to avoid having to support a mass iphone deployment...

I attended the WES last year & the Bold was all the rage. Anyone know why ATT still has exclusive rights on this device?

Did you deploy the correct package? There's an OCS client specifically for the Tour.
RIM never really "announced" this. I discovered it on my own by accident.

You can "remove" most of these by making some IT Policy adjustments on BES. They'll go away once you activate on BES and the IT Policy is applied.

Nope, but thanks penguin3107 - you saved me some frustration and a support call.

Pretty much the same problem I've had since jump street. I'm on my second one now since Sunday and the exact same problem exists. And it's super annoying while talking on the phone, and hearing the same thing over and over from other people. Most likely returning mine today and just getting a refund. Shame because the phone is cool looking, but this is VZW's second botched launch next to the storm in my eyes. And to be honest, at the end of the day this is a phone after all, which makes voice quality the single most important area ahead of all the other stuff on the device.

I find that voice quality can vary significantly dependent on how you position the phone. You may want to look into that.

Why delete the posts? He didn't attempt to trick anyone. He said a "Wipe" worked for him, and then described how to do so.

He never mentioned to backup the data before the wipe. The new blackberry user may not be aware of what his steps would do and then end up losing their data.

I, as well as others, believe it was his way of getting back for being somewhat flamed in this thread.

Posts were deleted to prevent a user from following his extremely bad advice and losing their data.

Did you install this OTA? I tried, but could not get a new software config to recognize it, called RIM, they had me download the desktop version and finally got a new config created. But...that didn't work for OTA deployment. My Application Status never changes from Up to Date. I even did a secruity wipe (including 3rd party software), but no luck.
From what I can tell, the OTA software does not contain an ALX file - the ALX file from the Desktop package does not work. Still working with Tech Support....

I just received my Tour from Verizon, replaced a Curve. When placing a call, there is background noise that was not there on my curve, hence I am taking it back to the store for a new one/replacement.
