I have had 2 or 3 user that have reported the options for Email Reconciliation have randomly changed on their own. They moved to just handheld from Mailbox and handheld. Did a search and couldn't find anything in hear so I appologize if there is already a thread on this somewhere. Here is our environment:

Domino 6.5.1
BES 4.0 HF2
Nextel 7510 and 7520 devices with handheld version 4.0

Is this a gliche with BES? Is there something we are or are not doing that may be causing this? Any help is greatly appreciated.

I've had that happen a few times myself since we've been using 4.0. Maybe 2-3 times in the last year or so. Couldn't figure out much on it either. I assume it was something getting corrupted in the wireless backup, so I disabled it a while ago for myself and haven't seen the problem since.

Anyone else have any input on this? I am going to open a ticket with RIM to investigate but if anyone has insight on this I would appreciate it.

I was told to recreate the BBProfiles Db to eliminate inconsistencies in the Db. I am a little sceptical that this will solve my issue. But I will keep you guys up to date once I make the change.

Some messaging options can be hot key changed.

For instance hide filed messages is hot keyed (can't remember the key off hand) - hitting the key changes the option and confuses the user :/

I have users reporting this same issue - the reconciliation settings are switching from "mailbox and handheld" to just "handheld". Anyone ever figure out the remedy for this?

Nope.....wish I could since we still have a users reporting this problem. Not very often....probably 6 in a year but it is still a problem that I wish I knew why it was happening. If anyone has the reasoning let me know.

I would re-create the BBProfiles DB. When these settings disappear it means you have had some type of corruption in your BBProfiles, you might want to setup more frequent Domino maintenance or transaction logging if you havent already.

I have already tried that and the problem still seemed to happen with the same frequency.

Is there anything in your environment that might be causeing modifications to the BBProfiles other than the BES, like have you clustered your BES or done anything like that?
