Default Sprint made me an offer..

Please Login to Remove!

After july 1st theyll give me a 150 dollar credit toward a sprint phone. Im currently with nextel using a 1.5 year old 7520. Since I've moved, my nextel sucks in my new neighborhood.

So, after the rebate and the credit, the 8703e will essentially be free. Or, should i hold out for the rumored cdma curve? Either way i hate the new track ball. Perhaps im used to several generations of the track wheel and old habits die hard.

I mention the cruve and not the 8800 series sprint will release next month due to the keyboard. I have large hands and was grateful to see the new keyboard on the curve. Even the 8703e keyboard is a far cry from the large and spacious keys on my 7520

There's no need to wait for the CDMA Curve. You've got a better chance of getting hit by a truck than for that to come out by July 1.

If what's being published is correct then the next CDMA BlackBerry will be the "Pearl 2" (a CDMA 81xx series device) which should be released in winter '07. I expect that a CDMA Curve won't be along until this time next year at the earliest.

I would go ahead and get the 8703e, in fact that is what I am doing. I, too have big hands, and the curve didn't seem much better than the 8800 to me. Also, there is no telling if the curve will even come to Sprint anytime soon.

I recently switched from Nextel 7520 to Sprint. They gave me a new 8703e for $99, I didn't have to extend my contract and I got to keep my same plan. I checked out the 8830 at Verizon and I like the 8703 much better. It's hard to get away from the wheel. Sprint will have the 8830 next month but I'm not interested. I'll look at the Curve when it comes but for now the 8703 is my best choice.

I gotta ask...how much faster is Sprints EV-DO data compared to Nextel's? HTML pages take forever to load on my 7520.
