1. Download.
2. Open the file where it is downloaded and "Extract All File"
3. Go through the promts, its really easy.
4. Once it is all extracted connect your BB and open the Desktop Manager.
5. Click the "Add/Remove" Applications menu.
6. Basically all the steps in the menu tell you what to do.
7. Once it is on your phone go to the icon, click on it, then Menu click and Activate and it should work.

That's what I did. These instructions aren't the greatest but I dont have my BB hooked up to this computer to refresh my memory.

Good Luck,

Andybob

Thanks for the inputs but will BBlight work with Curve 8310 and not looking to keep the display on longer, but looking for an app that will turn on the backlight when an alert/alarm from calendar goes off.
Or sms or email.
Thanks

So does it do what the OP asked about? This thread has taken a weird path.

My guess would have to be yeah. Because I was looking for the same exact thing and BBLight worked great for me.

Now that that's out of the way and cleared up... is there an app that will keep the flash light on while taking a picture ? When picture taking in dark area's or rooms, I have to guess what I am taking a picture of in terms of angle and position.

Cool! Which setting do you use to make the display light up when a calendar alarm goes off?

BB light does not work on my 8330. It installs just fine, but does nothing.

I'm not sure. You might have to fool with it a bit.

It turns on the display for SMS and email just fine, but it doesn't the the same for calendar events. So I'm still looking for this.
