Lightbulb Alternate Task Manager Application

Please Login to Remove!

My company High Velocity IT just release an exiting new task manager app for BlackBerry to replace the standard boring tasks application that comes with the device.

Check out the demo on bhivetasks.com and let us know what you think. We are currently working on new features for the next release and would love to get your input.

Thanks!

I've been searching for the perfect task manager for years. Since you seem to working on one, here are some requests. Does it do this?
1> Float due dates. Let's say you have due date of Jan 1. You don't act on it, will it automatically set the due date for Jan 2nd?
2> Does it automatically sync to Outlook tasks and calendar?

Thanks

A key factor for me is the ability to sort and display tasks by category. BBtask Pro had this feature and it is very helpful but that program has other issues and I stopped using it.

Default Most Improved Award for a Blackberry Task App

I think this is the better of the task apps I have tried to date. Much better look and the ability to add a task quickly is a definite stand-out from others I tried.

My comments are as follows:
1. It would be nice if there was numerical prioritizing from maybe 1-5 instead of high, medium and low. Or maybe even a secondary-type high or medium?
2. It appears that once a date is assigned to a certain task and can't be removed. I would like the option to remove a date because some backburner tasks can float day to day which may have been date specific at one time.
3. When you are in a specific task, you don't have the option to delete that particular task. It would be noce to be able to.

Other than that, I much appreciate this app. Really enjoy the Priority list and Quick Add function. I like that it is not too involved to add, and prioritize tasks. And the look is very refreshing. Please keep up the good work.

ciao

First of all, thanks for all the great feedback! Drop me an email on
"info at highvelocityit dot com" and I will send you a free copy for your help.

Some comments:
joe12pack, you can actually remove a due date by clicking on the existing due date, bring up the menu and select "no due date". It's not super-easy to do, but we tried to optimize the interface to make the most frequent tasks very quick and other ones you don't do too often be a few more steps.

thielsa, bhivetasks has the ability to group and customize tasks into categories (called folders). Checkout out the demo on youtube (just search for "bhivetasks").

Shadysprings, it will sync with your outlook if you decide to add a reminder to your due date. Some tasks you might not want to associate a specific time with.
