Post Importing multiple users on BES 4.1

Please Login to Remove!

Over the next couple of months, my company will be standing up roughly 6 new BES. Going along with that, we'd be adding 2000 to 6000 users spread across those 6 servers. As we're currently running 4.0.3 w/ Exchange 2003, I planned on using the Import Users from File option.

I've heard a rumor that this option is no longer available in 4.1 which would toss a big wrench in the works since our 4.1 upgrade is due to hit before these new servers are stood up.

Does anyone know if there's a workaround? If there isn't, I'm thinking we put off our 4.1 upgrade until all of these new users are added because that would be a heck of a lot of extra clicks doing it the manual way.

Thanks for the help!

With the Resource Kit you can import (create) users from a file, and so far I know will the resource kit also work on 4.1

Are you saying that you can use the 4.0 sp3 resource kit with the 4.1 BES? I'm trying to find some kind of documentation that says this in RIM's website. I am very curious about the BESAdminClient.exe from the 4.0 sp3 resource kit if it will work on a 4.1 BES Server. We are currently running a test 4.1 server, and was thinking of installing the 4.0 sp3 resource kit on it.

Ok, just for everyone's knowledge, you can install the BB Resource kit 4.0 sp4 on a BES 4.1 Server, and it will work. Though you don't have all the features that you can do from the server if you are looking for some functionaity for your help desk you can at least use this much till RIM comes out with the 4.1 resource kit.
