Default SRPClient::Connect: Error calling host "localhost" [127.0.0.1] (0)

Please Login to Remove!

Hi,

Looking for some first time help. Cannot get BES running on Windows 2003 server with Exchange 2003. I keep getting the message

SRPClient::Connect: Error calling host "localhost" [127.0.0.1] (0)
[SRP] Connection failed

The server is running, but the manager displays SRP status as 'Disconnected'. So far I have been through the trouble shooting guide and checked the following

bbsrptest.exe reports it can conenct to the server OK.
All ports on the firewall are open outbound

NetworkAccessNode value in registry is set to 'localhost'

SRP address is set to local host

SRP address in bb router tab is set to srp.eu.blackberry.net (Im in the UK)
'test network connection' reports OK

All the services are starting OK.

Can anyone suggest anything else to check?

Is the BlackBerry Router service running?

Nevermind, missed that second last line. Sorry

You might want to call RIM and see if the SRP ID is in use or been put on hold.

SRP address must not set to local host but to srp.eu.blackberry.net as you can see in the log it is trying to access a local SRP.

Bob

THE SRP ID was blocked.

Thanks for the suggestions. Sorted now.

It would be far more useful if the log simply stated the SRP ID was invliad or blocked!
