Default Hotmail Push Working

Please Login to Remove!

I read the thread on the BIS upgrade and it listed the ability to push Hotmail. I went in to set it up and it works perfect! I am running 4.2.2.180 and have a regular (not Premium) Hotmail account. No more forwarding!

I have OS 4.3.0.127 currently and it seems to be working fine with the first test.

Thank you for bringing this up, I hadn't heard it yet!

This is now one less thing I am upset with Verizon for!

Time to release GPS!!?????

Working on T-Mobile UK unless logged in to Windows Live in any way, in which case the messages aren't delivered to the BlackBerry. Any ideas?

Having looked into this a little more it seems the facts are as follows:

- hotmail emails are pushed to the BlackBerry unless signed in to MSN etc unless status is set to away or appear offline, in which case they are delivered.
- email messages which arrive while signed in to MSN and left unread are delivered to the BlackBerry after signing out of MSN, but only when another email arrives. This seems to trigger the push.

This is really frustrating and not at all practical. Had I realised this I would have left my hotmail setup as it was and rejoiced in the 15 minute delay! Does anyone have a solution? Who would be behind this? RIM? Microsoft?

Read this RIM KB Article KB15747 titled: "Email message delivery is delayed to an integrated Windows Live Hotmail account on the BlackBerry smartphone when using Windows Live Messenger on the computer"
