I doubt you'll find one for sale. RIM branded devices are almost always property of RIM and therefore not for sale.

Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry8800/4.2.1 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/102)

Ive seen them before just dont remember the online store

They are black (as opposed to the dark blue cingular) and dont have atnt or tmobile branding

Best bet is to just get a black housing. There's a vendor that sells them but you'll have to search as I don't recall the vendor or their URL.

It is possible to get unbranded BB's but it's a very expensive option for very little benefit.

Buy the tmobile version and remove the logo? (maybe the one I am selling in the buy/sell forum? )

Buy a new black housing from cnn.cn for $80 + shipping?

Actually, there are many online sellers that sell them and show pictures of generic blackberry. However, those are generic pictures, and not actual pictures, so don't buy one thinking you will get an unbranded one. They are unlocked generally, but are definitely carrier branded.

yea I was just thinking about that....damn!

Seems the only way to get all black is to buy a tmo version and then buy the black casing which will replace the tmo logo

You guys think thats the only way?

I'm disappointed rim doesnt sell non-carrier branded devices

Or someone who uses pictures straight from the BlackBerry website but watermarks them as his own.

Are there no disassembly instructions on any of the forums? I know I've seen photos of the 8800 disassembled...

I think a lot of the 8800 test units were black so I personally would not buy a black unbranded 8800 unless I KNEW FOR SURE it was not a test unit and since there is no way to really know for sure.....
