I was just looking over an issue of TV Guide from a few weeks back and saw an announcement about Microsoft Tag Reader. This is an app for iPhones and BlackBerry devices that can scan/snap a tag and then take action based on the tag (e.g. play a video, go to a website, dial a phone number, etc.). I downloaded the app to my BB 8330 Curve and tried several times to scan tags that were printed in the same issue of TV Guide. After a few tries with different tags and different lighting conditions, I was unsuccessful in scanning a single tag. The app would run for a few seconds and then say "Tag could not be scanned. Center the Tag. Hold hand steady. Avoid shadows or reflected light." Has anyone here successfully installed and used the Tag Reader?

Just installed it on my 9000 and it read the example on the microsoft tag page.

No idea about the app, but one thought is maybe the lens is dirty.
